Foursome Wheeling Park District has a comprehensive sponsorship program to link corporations and local businesses with the community.

The support of sponsors makes it possible for Wheeling Park District to provide top-quality special events and family activities including Passport to the World, Fiesta del Sol, Rattlesnake Ramble Adventure Race, Sounds of Summer Concert Series, Pigskin Party in the Park, Heritage Classic 5K/10K Road Races, Breakfast with Santa, as well as leisure and recreational opportunities for families unable to afford them through funds raised through our ME Campaign.

The Park District’s unique and multi-faceted program allows sponsors to match the event to their passion and desired level of participation. Events

Summer Entertainment Series (June – August)
The Summer Entertainment Series provides an opportunity for friends and families to gather together for great concerts and movies at various parks and facilities. Over 2000 spectators attend these free events.

Fiesta del Sol Celebration (June)
This community-based, family festival with a sun theme celebrates the heritage and pride of the Mexican community. Guests are treated to entertainment, arts and crafts, games, and activities at Chamber Park.

Rattle Snake Ramble Adventure Race (July)
This sprint distance adventure race covers approximately 40 to 50 miles in the Wheeling/Cook and Lake county areas. Co-ed teams of three race to complete the entire course in the shortest amount of time. Racers test their skills of biking, orienteering, canoeing, and running while trying to complete a series of challenges that challenge both minds and bodies.

Summer Sizzle (August)
This event at Heritage Park has the casual feel of a large-scale backyard barbeque with food, refreshments, and lawn games like Baggo, Wiffle Golf Ball Driving, Bocce Ball, and Slingo. Exceptional live music and an adult Softball Tournament make it one-of-a-kind.

Pigskin Party in the Park(September)
Considered to be Wheeling's largest family tailgate party. Giant Inflatables, games, raffles, local vendors providing food, beverages and those are just the compliments to the main draw. Serving as a registered NFL Pepsi Punt, Pass, and Kick location many young athletes come out to qualify for national recognition. Finally, this event is the only place in town that families can enjoy a Sunday football game outdoors on a BIG SCREEN.

Heritage Classic 5K/10K Road Races (October)
The over 300 runners taking to the streets in the morning represent all ages and abilities from school children to seniors. It's perfect, too, for Chicago Marathon runners who want to get their training in a week before the "big race".

Orange Skeleton Passport to the World (February)
The community based, multi-cultural event features the distinct diversities of the Wheeling community. Two thousand spectators attend this event, co-produced by the Village of Wheeling.

Daddy/Daughter Dance (February)
Making special memories for fathers and their daughters has become a celebrated tradition at Chevy Chase Country Club. Many young girls look forward to dressing up for their date with dad and spending a memorable evening dining and dancing together..
