Wheeling Park District Summer Camps

Outstanding Summer Camp programs are available for children ages three through 14 at the Wheeling Park District. Our camps enjoy an excellent reputation in the community for providing fun, structure, and safe activities. Counselors are high school graduates or better who have previous work experience with children, in addition to undergoing a week of training and orientation that includes CPR and first-aid certifications. Many counselors are former campers from the program who have progressed through the very-popular Counselor-In-Training program on their way to becoming successful employees.

Children are grouped according to age; daily activities are planned to be age appropriate, yet challenging and engaging. Full-day campers at the CRC and Tarkington School have the benefit of swimming at the Aquatic Center each week and/or participating in swim lessons during camp hours. Before- and after-camp care is available for the working parents’ convenience.
