WPD Park Rules & Regulation
- All parks close at dusk.
- Loud music or alcohol is not permitted on any Park District property.
- There is a maximum amount of picnic tables at each park location.
- Grills and restroom facilities are available at some picnic sites.
- Insurance may be required due to certain conditions of the function, for the protection of Park District property.
- Events charging admission for commercial use require permission from the Executive Director of Wheeling Park District.
- Pets must be on leashes which do not exceed six feet in length.
- Smoking is prohibited in all wooded areas on District property and within
- 100 feet of any point on soccer, baseball, or football fields, or tennis or basketball courts.
Park District Picnic Shelters
Groups of 25 or less people may use a picnic site on a drop-in basis without making a reservation, free of charge. However, such groups take the risk of being asked to leave the site if the site has been reserved by another group with a permit.
