WPD Park Rules & Regulation

  1. All parks close at dusk.
  2. Loud music or alcohol is not permitted on any Park District property.
  3. There is a maximum amount of picnic tables at each park location.
  4. Grills and restroom facilities are available at some picnic sites.
  5. Insurance may be required due to certain conditions of the function, for the protection of Park District property.
  6. Events charging admission for commercial use require permission from the Executive Director of Wheeling Park District.
  7. Pets must be on leashes which do not exceed six feet in length.
  8. Smoking is prohibited in all wooded areas on District property and within
  9. 100 feet of any point on soccer, baseball, or football fields, or tennis or basketball courts.

Park District Picnic Shelters
Groups of 25 or less people may use a picnic site on a drop-in basis without making a reservation, free of charge. However, such groups take the risk of being asked to leave the site if the site has been reserved by another group with a permit.
