Intergovernmental Agreement with River Trails Park District
WHEELING PARK DISTRICT AND RIVER TRAILS PARK DISTRICT APPROVE INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT
Wheeling Park District to manage Rob Roy Golf Course and Banquet Facility
At the joint board meeting on Tuesday, October 29, the Wheeling Park District and River Trails Park District approved an intergovernmental agreement for management of the nine-hole Rob Roy Golf Course and adjoining clubhouse.
Effective January 1, 2020, the Wheeling Park District will begin managing all golf and food and beverage operations at the 505 E. Camp McDonald facility. This four-year agreement also includes management of the Woodland Trails Driving Range at 1500 E. Euclid in Mount Prospect. The IGA provides for Wheeling Park District and River Trails Park District residents to receive resident rates at both Traditions at Chevy Chase Golf Course and Rob Roy Golf Course.
“This mutually beneficial arrangement allows the Wheeling and River Trails park districts to build on the strengths of both entities and provides our communities with additional recreational opportunities and services,” said Sue Stein, president of the Wheeling Park District Board of Commissioners. “We expect that Chevy Chase’s sustained success in golf and food and beverage operations will be an asset to this new undertaking,” said Commissioner Stein.
For over 40 years, the Wheeling Park District has owned and operated the 18-hole Traditions at Chevy Chase Golf Course and Chevy Chase banquet and clubhouse facilities at 1000 N. Milwaukee Avenue in Wheeling.
