Wheeling Park District Awarded 2022 PowerPlay! Beyond School Grant

Wheeling Park District is proud to announce that they were awarded the 2022 PowerPlay! Beyond School Grant by the Illinois Association of Park Districts (IAPD).  The PowerPlay! Grant Program is designed to provide positive beyond school programs for youth ages 5-13. Beyond school programs, such as the District’s Before and After School Recreation program with the collaboration of CCSD21,  keep youth safe and give them supervised and structured activities. 

Funding and materials for this program are provided through the sale and subsequent renewal of each Illinois Park District Youth License Plate and through Friends of Illinois Parks. Each plate generates $25 specifically for the PowerPlay! Beyond School Grant Program. It is crucial that we invest in the young people of Illinois by supporting the Park District Youth License Plate program.
