The Wheeling Park District Preschool is guided by the philosophy of “learning through play”. Through activities in art, games, storytelling, cooking, movement and songs, children develop self-control, physical coordination and social skills. Children are exposed to letters, numbers, colors, shapes and readiness skills in an encouraging, nurturing setting.

Our Staff
The Wheeling Park District Preschool staff are qualified, experienced teachers who pride themselves on creating a warm, sensitive, safe and educational environment. A ratio of one experienced teacher for every eight children is maintained. Teachers attend yearly Early Childhood conferences to keep up-to-date on the latest standards and trends and are always bringing new ideas to their daily classroom activities.
