Share Your Heritage at the 2025 International Festival

The Wheeling Park District is excited to invite community members, organizations, and cultural groups to participate in the International Festival on Sunday, August 10. We’re looking for individuals like you to help make it a truly global celebration!

This vibrant event showcases the rich diversity of our community through cultural performances, food, and interactive displays. We are currently seeking volunteers and community partners to host cultural booths or displays that highlight traditions, customs, and heritage from around the world.

What is a Cultural Booth?

Cultural booths are a fun, educational way to share your background and traditions with the community. Booths may include:

Cultural artifacts or display items
Traditional clothing or accessories
Family-friendly games or interactive activities
Educational facts or short stories
Flags, decorations, or other cultural symbols

Displays should be respectful, inclusive, and accurate, helping others learn and appreciate the culture being represented.

Booth Setup Details

Location: Wheeling Park District Performance Pavilion
Date: Sunday, August 10
Time: 1:00 – 5:00 pm (booth display hours; full festival runs until 7:00 pm)
What’s Provided: 10×10 booth space, one table, and two chairs (at no cost)
What to Bring: Optional tent, cultural decorations, interactive elements
Electricity: Not provided

Selection Criteria

Booth space is limited. Participants will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, with final approval by the event committee based on:

Cultural diversity (aiming for wide representation)
Educational value
Interactivity and audience engagement
Quality and thoughtfulness of the presentation
