SMS Text Policy

By providing us with your mobile phone number, you are consenting to be contacted by SMS text messages from the Wheeling Park District. Message frequency will vary, but is intended to be used only in the following circumstances:

• Emergency, critical, and/or time-sensitive information related to a program you or your family are already enrolled in;
• Responses to any incoming SMS text messages that are sent to a Wheeling Park District number, for example, to answer a customer’s question or concern.

Mobile phone numbers are collected during the program registration process. Depending on your method of registration, this may include web forms on our registration website or registering in person at our Guest Services desk.

Customer mobile phone numbers are stored in an encrypted database as part of our registration software. To correct or remove your contact information, please speak with a Guest Services associate by calling (847) 465-3333 or by visiting one of our facilities.

SMS text messaging will not be used for marketing purposes. The Wheeling Park District will not sell or share your mobile number to any third parties without prior consent or legal obligation.
