Sous-Chef

Serves as a Sous Chef for Chevy Chase Country Club banquet/catering. The Sous Chef will assists in preparation of food for client’s tastings for upcoming weddings and other events. In case of absence by the chef, speaks to patrons after the completion of the tasting and answers questions relative to the food preparation, ingredients, presentation, and other options for the meals.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A minimum of three (3) years Sous Chef, plus three (3) years of banquet operations and an additional six (6) years of food service training is essential, or any equivalent combination of education, experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • Must be currently certified with Illinois Food Service Sanitation certificate.
  • Demonstrate consistent attendance and on-time arrival.
  • Must have a valid Illinois Driver’s License.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak in English.

HOURS:

  • Wednesday – Sunday

RATE OF PAY:

  • $24.00 – $29.00 per hour
