Before/After Care Instructor - Wheeling Park District

Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Functions:

Employee must maintain a positive working relationship with subordinates, co-workers, and the general public.
Work as scheduled.
Maintain a neat and orderly work environment and return supplies and equipment to the appropriate location when finished.
Dress in appropriate attire in accordance with District policies. District issue t-shirt and lanyard on the outermost layer of clothing at all times.
Provide each child with positive interactions and experiences.
Remain actively engaged with participants, including playing games, talking with participants, and leading activities.
Assist in planning and conducting daily activities for program participants.
Assist leader daily with activities, games, and crafts.

Skills and Abilities:

Demonstrate knowledge and skill in child development practices.
Understand principles, practices, and objectives of community recreation.
Implement innovative activities on a daily basis
Supervise children in recreational setting.
Organizational skills related to programming.
Must have good oral and written communication skills; ability to work with minimal supervision, to solve problems and produce work on a timely basis.

Pay Rate: $15 Hourly
