The Indoor Pool is located within the CRC. This indoor aquatic facility maintains a year-round schedule of open and lap swim, swim lessons and special events.

Indoor Pool FAQ
- No, an Indoor Pool Membership includes Adult Lap Swim and Open Swim. Swim Lessons and Aquafit classes are an additional fee.
- Health & Fitness Center Memberships include the Indoor Pool AND all Group Fitness classes including Aquafit.
- No outside food or drink is permitted at the Indoor Pool.
- The Wheeling Park District Indoor Pool is supervised by lifeguards during Open Swim, Swim Lessons, and AquaFit All lifeguards are licensed through the International Lifeguard Training Program by Jeff Ellis and Associates. Adult Lap Swim is not guarded by Lifeguards. Swim at our own risk.
- Only guests intending to swim must pay the daily fee or show their membership card. Please NOTE: Parents/guardians must be responsible for supervising their children. If your children are in the water, then you are in the water. Lifeguards are on duty to only enforce rules and respond in emergency situations.
- There is no height requirement.

- Swimming accessories such as beach balls, diving rings, and other such items will be allowed in designated areas at the discretion of the manager. Examples of toys that are not allowed include noodles, rafts, tennis balls, Frisbees, water canons/guns, or any other hard toys.
- S. Coast Guard approved personal flotation devices (PFDs) are allowed. Water wings and other non-Coast Guard approved PFDs are prohibited. Children wearing PFDs must remain within arm’s length of their guardian.
- Lifejackets are available in the Lifeguard Office to sign out.

Adult Lap Swim
- Participants must be 18 years or older for adult lap swim.
- There is no lifeguard on duty.
- 2 swimmers in a lane split the lane and stay on your side.
- Continuous, circle swimming must take place in swim lanes that have more than 2 swimmers.
- When available, lane markers may be placed at the end of each lane. For users’ safety, swimmers must join the lane that applies to their ability and speed.
Swim Lessons
- Group and Private lessons are conducted during this time block.
- Lifeguards on duty at all times.
- Participants must be pre-registered for swim lessons or a private swim lesson.
- Swim Lesson types available for all ages.
Aqua Fit
- Participants must be 18 years or older to participate in aqua fit classes.
- Water Aerobics class led by a certified group exercise instructor.
- The classes focus on aerobic endurance, resistance training, and creating an enjoyable atmosphere with music.
- Classes are typically 45 minutes to one hour long.
Open Swim
- Both Lap and Leisure pools are open. Membership or daily admission required to enter.
- Lifeguards on duty at all times
